The changes in colour when sunlight is added is my inspiration for art.

When I look at any object, figure or landscape in sunlight, colours appear to dance. This is a wonderful experience and I am passionate about using colour to emphasize the subject matter.

When taking photographs, I play with light from all sides to see miracles happen when light is added.

I prefer working in oil on stretched canvas and love to use my palette knife – when working with the palette knife, the pure intense colour ends on the canvas and is much brighter than using the brush.

I love to paint my own photographs – my works vary from still life, figures, portraits, landscapes and scenes from my immediate surroundings.
My art has liberated me as a person. I attend Shelley Adams critic classes, which contributes to the freedom in my art.
