Also Studied under the late Christiaan Prosser (graduate London School of Art) who after many years became a very close friend and was perhaps one of the most influential people in Maeve's career.
She paints in all mediums but over the last four years has been experimenting with water colours as well as wanting to intuit her work, both have proved deeply challenging and still remain an ongoing exciting journey.
"My years of painting in water colour had always been in the traditional sense and one day I wanted stronger colour more movement and texture without too much water - all I can say is break the rules, never limit yourself use whatever tools you can and never be afraid of mistakes.
"For me the challenge of painting is to go beyond - to step outside the cocoon and allow my intuition freedom. This can be a very lonely place"
