Marinus Potgieter was born on the 28th September in Wolmaransstad, South Africa, spent his childhood and schooling in Namibia and for the last fifteen years has been resident in Somerset West.

ART TRAINING: A childhood passion - I have been painting and sculpturing since the age of 6. I have had classes and training with seven different teachers, which has enabled me to paint in various techniques.
My preferences are the Human Form ( faces and bodies ) and Still Life - I hate landscapes !!
I have been a successful landscape artist and nursery owner, trading under the name  Gardenfly. I am a creator, painter, sculptor and have made Art my fulltime occupation  -  gave up the day job !!
